My friend Suzanne came to stay with me while she was working a job. She’s a very environmentally responsible person and was diligently picking up garbage while she walked her dog a day or so before and reached into a bunch of poison oak with both arms.
Evidently, she’s overly allergic to poison oak and had a terrible reaction to it. Her doctor told her it would be 2-3 weeks before it cleared up. By the time she showed up at my place, her forearms, up the the elbows were a mass of weeping sores. She was running a fever and was incredibly miserable, to say that teaching the first of her four days was challenging would be an understatement.
By the time we got home that night she was desperate for relief. I broke out my EDR and read that Purification oil was one of the recommended oils to treat poison oak. I mixed several drops of purification with good grade grape seed oil, we got a cotton ball and dabbed it all over her weeping sores. In the morning she got up and I helped her change the dressings on her arms. We were amazed at the difference! Her wounds were markedly more dry, they were weeping less and she was itching less. She was overjoyed! She reapplied the oil, re-wrapped her arms and went to work feeling much improved.
Over the course of the next few days, we watched the sores dry up. She took some of the oil blend with her when she went home. Within a week she was so much improved it was as though it had all happened a month or so ago. We couldn’t believe it.
Note: One of the reasons Purification works so well on Poison Oak is that it breaks down the oils from the plant in you skin so that it doesn’t spread any further.
